How do I find Dade Physical Therapy?
Dade Physical Therapy is located in Pinecrest, Florida at 8603 So. Dixie Hwy, Suite 308, 33143. We are at the Kendall 1 Plaza in the Regions Bank Building on the 3rd floor above the FedEx/Kinkos.
What are Dade Physical Therapy’s hours of operation?
You will find our doors open and us smiling between 8:00am and 6:00pm. However, appointments must be made for Saturdays and Sundays.
What should I wear to a therapy session?
You should wear loose, comfortable clothing so that the therapist will be able to evaluate your current condition. Athletic or closed-toed shoes should also be worn.
How long are the physical therapy sessions?
When you first visit us, we will perform a physical evaluation test to determine your physical condition. Your physical therapy time will be determined by the results of the evaluation test.
Will I need a prescription from my physician to start physical therapy?
The Freedom of Care act states that a physician referral or prescription is required to receive physical therapy care. Most, but not all, health care coverage has provisions for physical therapy. Florida does have a 21 day law stating that if someone is treated without a prescription, they have 21 days to be treated, after which time the patient must obtain a prescription from a medical doctor.
Can I use a prescription from a physician from another state?
Yes, a prescription can be transferred between states.
What type of payment methods do you accept?
We accept Cash, Check, Money Orders, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
How will I know if my insurance pays for physical therapy?
Our office staff can confirm whether or not physical therapy is covered by your provider. This is very important because ultimately the patient is responsible for the payment of services rendered. Rejection of claims for payment by an insurance company does not relieve a patient of any obligations to pay our clinic or our staff.
